Roc-A-Fella CEO Damon Dash was arrested yesterday
on a warrant for "absconding with a subject child," after his son’s
mother claimed he was taking the 11 year-old boy to live in California.
The arrest comes amidst a custody battle between
Dash and Linda Williams, the 11 year-old’s mother.
On March 10, William’s claims that the sixth
grader told his teacher at his school that he was not happy with his father
smoking pot. He then displayed the pot to the teacher.
The 11 year-old now faces a drug possesion charge
after the teacher called police. According to Williams, the boy will appear
in Criminal Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
Dash removed his son from the school 14 days
later.
Damon Dash was released after appearing in Manhattan
Family court. A trial date is set for April 3.
