(AllHipHop News) Former hip-hop mogul Damon Dash has finally secured a 2018 release for a long-gestating movie he executive produced with Kanye West.

“Too Honorable,” a movie starring rapper Cam’ron and actress Stacey Dash, Damon’s cousin, was originally set for distribution in May, 2015, but the launch date came and went without the project surfacing.

Now Damon, who also served as director and co-star, has announced the film has undergone a title change, switching to “Honor Up,” and will be opening in U.S. theaters in February.

Jay-Z’s old business partner shared the news with fans on Instagram on Wednesday, as he unveiled an updated poster for “Honor Up.”

“This is really happening,” he captioned the post. “#HonorUp in theaters February”.

Dash previously directed 2005 crime drama “State Property: Blood On the Streets.”
