(AllHipHop News) Hip-Hop boss Sean “Diddy” Combs will be honored by the Carver Foundation

The music business pioneer will be toasted during the Carver Foundation’s 80th annual celebration and will be given the 2018 Child of America Award.

Not only will he be recognized for his accomplishments and business over the past three decades, but Diddy will also be acknowledged for his activism and philanthropic activities.

“We try to honor exceptional role models for Carver youth and it’s called Child for America for a reason, because we look to honor someone who’s national,” said Novelette Peterkin, Carver’s executive director. “He inspired my generation and he continues to inspire the younger generation now.”

In August of 2016, Diddy opened The Capital Preparatory Harlem Charter School.

The institution launched with 160 sixth/seventh-grade students and has plans to expand to 6-12 grades.

Legendary investor Ray Dalio of Bridgewater Associates will bestow Combs with the award at on May 11 in Norwalk, Connecticut.
