Combs will host the opening event of the first Vibe MusicFest, one of the summer’s
most highly publicized music events taking place June 10-12.
Combs will grace the stage at the Georgia Dome, Friday June
10 during the festival’s opener, and will participate throughout the night’s
performances.
Free, co-host of BET’s “106 & Park” and
DJ Drama, will round out hosting duties for the festival.
Headliners include hip-hop and R&B acts Kanye West, John
Legend, Lauryn Hill, Big Boi, Faith Evans, Ludacris, Amerie and others.
Siblings Damien “Jr. Gong” and Stephen Marley will
perform a special musical tribute commemorating what would have been the 60th
birthday of their father, reggae legend Bob Marley.
With concerts scheduled throughout the evenings, MusicFest goers
can participate in seminars, and artist showcases during the day on Saturday
June 11, led by celebrities and national figures such as Chuck D., Reverend
Al Sharpton, T-Boz, Michael Eric Dyson and Bishop Eddie Long.
Closing out the weekend is a Gospel Review, with performances
by Fred Hammond and Yolanda Adams on Sunday June 12.
