(AllHipHop News) DJ Envy was feeling a type of way while interviewing Desus Nice and The Kid Mero for The Breakfast Club. The radio show personality clearly had a problem with the Desus & Mero hosts cracking jokes about his wife on their Viceland show.
Last month, Desus made a comical comment about Gia Casey needing Envy’s money. The public couple discussed their infidelity issues on an episode of The Real which led to the Desus & Mero roasting session.
“You owe my wife an apology… When you insinuated that she was there for the check,” Envy told Desus.
DJ Envy called the comments disrespectful. Desus apologized and declared they will never talk about his family again. That did not stop Envy from walking out of the interview.
The Casey Crew podcaster later said he was too angry to continue talking with the guests. While Envy sat out of the conversation, Desus, Mero, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God continued to mock the on-air mea culpa.
“Do you think this was good for anybody? Do you think when this goes viral it’s going to have the impact that is going to make Breakfast Club look good? Are people gonna want to come up here now? Or are people gonna be like, ‘Nah, y’all n-ggas set a n-gga up’?” asked Desus.
Envy began trending on twitter. Some users defended his decision to stand up for his spouse, but a lot of people blasted the deejay for being too sensitive.
