Fans of actor/writer Donald Glover are patiently awaiting the return of FX network’s Atlanta television series. Fans of rapper/singer Childish Gambino are hoping he returns with another studio album in the near future.
In the meantime, Donald “Childish Gambino” Glover continues to make major moves in Hollywood. According to reports, the 37-year-old entertainer is set to part ways with FX and committed to a multiple-year, eight-figure overall deal with Amazon Studios.
Gambino’s 30-year-old brother is said to be headed to Amazon as well. Stephen Glover is credited as a producer and writer for Atlanta. The younger Glover also co-wrote Amazon Prime Video’s Guava Island film which starred Donald Glover and music superstar Rihanna.
The new relationship with Amazon does not seem to be affecting future episodes of Atlanta. Filming for seasons three and four of the dramedy were delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, Donald Glover recently ensured his followers that the show will be back and better than ever.

“While I’m here: Atlanta s3+s4 are going to be some of the best television ever made. Sopranos only ones who can touch us,” tweeted Donald Glover in November 2020. He also shared his thoughts about upcoming tunes, by posting, “Last music project was probably my best. But the one coming will be my biggest by far. Listen to ‘new ancient strings’ outside.”
Childish Gambino released his fourth studio album, 3.15.20, on March 22, 2020. His discography also includes 2011’s Camp, 2013’s Because the Internet, and 2016’s “Awaken, My Love!” albums. Plus, it was recently announced that Donald Glover and Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Solo: A Star Wars Story, Fleabag) are leading a reboot of the 2005 movie Mr. & Mrs. Smith as a television series for Amazon.
