(AllHipHop News) Last year, Donald Glover revealed he planned to retire his Childish Gambino alter ego. The multi-talented entertainer won his first Grammy on Sunday for the hit record “Redbone” (Best Traditional R&B Performance), but that triumph apparently will not stop Glover from eventually moving on from music.
“I stand by that. I’m really appreciative of this [Grammy]. I’m still making another project,” said the Atlanta native. “But I like endings. I think they’re important to progress. I think if a lot of things had death clauses in them we wouldn’t have a lot of problems in the world, to be honest. I think endings are good because they force things to get better.”
It was recently announced Gambino signed with RCA Records. He is expected to drop the follow-up to his critically acclaimed “Awaken, My Love!” album via the major label.
Additionally, Glover’s Atlanta TV series is set for a second season on FX. The popular show returns on March 1.
