(AllHipHop News) Rapper/actor Donald Glover and his brother Stephen Glover are revealing more details behind a creative rift that lead to their departure as executive producers of Marvel’s animated “Deadpool” series.
According to Marvel, a creative rift between Donald Glover and the company’s creative team sank the partnership, and this was due in part, to Taylor Swift.
The pair were hoping to court controversy with their take on “Deadpool,” but apparently their vision was too much for Marvel, especially after viewing an episode about Taylor Swift.
“There really was a Taylor Swift episode,” Stephon Glover wrote in a deleted, which was captured by TheWrap.
“It was HILARIOUS. And it definitely was the last straw lol,” said Stephone, who added: “We definitely wanted to give Rick and Morty a run for their money and I think we would have. Proud of the gang.”
Last week, Donald Glover also took to Twitter, to clear up rumors that he was too busy for the series.
Donald posted several pages from a “Deadpool” script after tweeting, “for the record: i wasnt too busy to work on deadpool.”
