Doug E. Fresh To Host “Black Heritage Auction” Featuring Items From 2Pac, Muhammad Ali, Barack Obama, MLK & More (PHOTOS)

OVER 300 PIECES FROM HISTORIC BLACK FIGURES WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE

(AllHipHop News) Today (April 7), Alexander Historical Auctions is holding an auction featuring over 300 items representing historic African-American individuals and events for the first “Black Heritage Auction.”

Notable pieces from Tupac “2Pac” Shukar will be offered at the event.

Some of those items include a gold medallion worn by the Hip Hop icon at the time of his fatal 1996 shooting in Las Vegas.

In addition, a handwritten lyric sheet of 2Pac’s “All Eyez on Me” single will be available.

Other music artists Chris “The Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace, Ray Charles, James Brown, Miles Davis, Thelonius Monk, Duke Ellington, John Coltrane, Josephine Baker, and Louis Armstrong will be represented as well.

Items from celebrated black figures such as Barack Obama, Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, Frederick Douglass, Nelson Mandela, Muhammad Ali, Toussaint L’Ouverture, and Phyllis Wheatley are also up for auction.

Doug E. Fresh is set to host the event.

The Hip Hop legend is co-producing the “Black Heritage Auction” with entrepreneur/philanthropist Paxton Baker.

“We are proud of the pieces up for auction at this premier sale. We have several very important pieces from Tupac Shakur and with his induction into the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame taking place on the same day, the timing couldn’t be more perfect,” states Baker.

He continues, “We have an actual bronze cast of Ali’s fists that I’m so excited about. It’s a little known fact that Muhammad Ali painted and drew over a hundred works of art during his lifetime and we have a limited number of lithographs, photographs and boxing gloves signed by the champion.”

Demetrius Shipp – the actor portraying 2Pac in the upcoming biopic All Eyez On Me – is scheduled to be in attendance as well as other members of the movie’s cast.

“Our solicited collectors are individuals that sincerely cherish black culture. Their interest and participation will make this a monumental occasion,” adds Baker.

Alexander Historical Auctions’ “Black Heritage Auction” will take place at The Dumbo Loft in Brooklyn, New York starting at 2:00 pm.
