(AllHipHop News) Rapper Eminem has overtaken Taylor Swift and Katy Perry to become the second highest-selling singles artist in U.S. chart history.
The “Stan” hitmaker has sold 107.5 million certified units since rising to fame in the late 1990s, pushing pop rivals Taylor and Katy into third and fourth place, respectively, in the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) rankings.
Rihanna still reigns supreme as the nation’s best-selling musician after racking up 121 million singles sales to date.
Organization officials declared her “Love the Way You Lie” collaboration with Eminem the hip-hop star’s biggest seller, while “Lose Yourself” has sold over 10 million copies.
He also received a number of other new song certifications.
The news, which comes almost 20 years after the release of Eminem’s debut album, The Slim Shady LP, in 1999, makes the 45-year-old the RIAA’s highest-selling singles rapper of all time.
He leads the likes of Drake, who has shifted 55 million to date, Kanye West, who has 51.5 million singles sales to his name, and Lil Wayne, who has 32 million certified units.
