Eminem and
Interscope records are the target of a lawsuit in federal court by French composer
Jacques Loussier. According to the lawsuit, which was March 28th in New York,
Eminem and Interscope used parts of Loussier’s song, "Pulsion." Eminem
used portions of the song in his song "Kill You," which appeared on
his The Marshall Mathers LP, which has moved over almost 9 million copies.
Loussier, 67, is best known for fusing Jazz with
classical music via his Play Bach Trio. Loussier is no lightweight, having released
over 12 albums and selling over 6 million copies worldwide. Eminem will make
his motion picture debut in July in the flick "8 Mile," a story loosely
based on his rise to fame.
