(AllHipHop News) Jussie Smollett has broken his silence over allegations he paid two brothers named Abel and Ola Osundairo to attack him in what the cops say was a staged hate crime.
The city of Chicago wants $130,000, the cost of investigating the “Empire” actor for what they ultimately found to be a bogus claim.
“I’m moving on. When the truth is on your side, you know everything will be fine,” a defiant Jussie Smollett said.
Back in January, Jussie Smollett said he supposedly attacked by two MAGA hat-wearing white guys, who wore masks, beat him, tied a noose around his neck and dosed him with bleach while yelling racial and homophobic slurs
The cops eventually charged Jussie with 16 counts of disorderly conduct after an investigation revealed he supposedly paid off the Osundairo brothers to beat him up, so he could get a pay raise on “Empire.”
In May, the office for Cook County State Attorney Kim Foxx inexplicably dropped charges against Jussie Smollett.
The actor had to forfeit a $10,000 bond, and ordered to complete 16 hours of community service with Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow Push coalition.
But Jussie has no plans on settling with the city of Chicago and he recently filed court documents in Chicago, claiming the city is unfairly attempting to prosecute him.
