KSI Expresses Interest In Wrestling For WWE Or AEW

(AllHipHop News) Olajide “KSIOlajidebt” Olatunji has already defeated fellow YouTuber Logan Paul in a professional boxing match. Could KSI be facing off against WWE’s “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt or AEW’s “Le Champion” Chris Jericho in a pro wrestling ring in the near future?  

“I like doing that type of stuff. Of course, I’m always open to doing WWE, AEW, or whatever organization there is. I’ve been a fan for years,” expresses the London-born entertainer also known as JJ in a recent interview with AllHipHop. “Man, that’s my childhood.”

JJ continued, “I used to watch Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Hulk Hogan, Sting, Mick Foley/Mankind, The Undertaker, all these guys, Triple H. I’m a fan, so it would be a dream come true to fight in the WWE. It’d be a bit too mad for me. I think at that point I’d probably need to check into a hospital just to check that I’m sane.”

Besides winning a split decision against Paul and amassing over 6 billion views on his two YouTube channels, KSI has also found chart success in the United Kingdom as a rapper. The 26-year-old Sidemen collective member is now ready to break into the U.S. music market.

“Obviously, in England, I’m already a big name, but when it comes to America, I’m still like a small fish in a big pond. Or a big fish in a big pond, shall I say. [laughs] I feel like it makes sense for me to collab with more American artists. So yeah, I definitely want to start charting more in America,” KSI tells AllHipHop.

JJ gave a taste of what he can do when collaborating with bona fide American rap stars with the release of his single “Down Like That” featuring Miami’s Rick Ross and Atlanta’s Lil Baby. He let loose an official visual for the S-X-produced song on November 22.

“I feel like the music video will bring a huge amount of attention. No other YouTuber is attracting international artists besides Jake Paul and Gucci Mane,” says KSI. “For me, and for everyone who watched that, it kind of put YouTube in a bad light because Jake Paul is not respected as an artist. Everyone was like, ‘Nah, Gucci. Don’t do that.'”

The creator of the Keep Up and Disstracktions EPs added, “Hopefully, now I can pave the way so that YouTubers can make good music, and chart, and be international, and make waves in the music scene.”
