(AllHipHop News) Atlanta rapper Ralo was recently released from prison, but his legal troubles are far from over.
Cops have booked Ralo on a felony count of Conspiracy to Distribute Marijuana after the rap star allegedly tried to smuggle almost $2 million worth of the drug on a private plane.
“It’s an ongoing investigation so I can’t comment beyond what’s on the complaint. We have several individuals who were arrested based on state charges but, as you know, that there’s a federal complaint filed so we’ll be seeking additional evidence,” U.S. District Attorney Byung J. “BJay” Pak said.
Police had been monitoring Ralo’s activities for months, and they finally hit paydirt in December of 2017, when the cops seized over 520 pounds of marijuana worth $1 million, from a vehicle near the Fulton County Airport.
Prosecutors also claim Ralo was involved in another shipment that came in via a private plane to the Fulton County Airport on April 15, where over 444 pounds of weed worth $840,000 was eventually discovered.
Police accuse Ralo of being a major drug distributor who leads a gang called Famerica.
Ralo’s attorney said his client will plead not guilty to all of the charges.
