(AllHipHop News) The government is not through with the alleged Godfather of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods just yet.
According to newly filed court documents, federal officials have started the process of seizing assets from Jamel “Mel Murda” Jones.
The Feds are after $10,000 they claim are proceeds from a drug deal Mel Murda conducted last year.
Mel Murda was sentenced to 11 years in prison, for dealing drugs to an undercover cop, while also allegedly ordering the gang to commit a wave of violence around New York City.
Mel Murda was one of 12 Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods rounded up last November and charged in a RICO case.
The gang was accused of terrorizing New York City and defending rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, but members began attacking each other over control of the Brooklyn rapper’s lucrative career.
6ix9ine, real name Daniel Hernandez, testified during the trial of two Nine Trey gang members, Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack and Anthony “Harv” Ellison.
Both men are awaiting their sentences.
The Feds are going to send Mel Murda’s drug money to the U.S. Treasury Department’s Treasury Assets Forfeiture Fund.
