(AllHipHop News) Fetty Wap handed out gift cards to shoppers in celebration of Easter at a supermarket in New Jersey.
The rapper returned to his hometown of Paterson earlier this week, where he teamed with bosses at the local Price Rite supermarket in Center City Mall for a giveaway.
Fetty, real name Willie Maxwell II, told reporters at the event that he hoped people would use the gift cards to purchase food for meals over the Easter weekend.
“I hope somebody gives me a couple invitations,” he said jokingly, according to Northjersey.com, and added that he was proud to be able to give back to his community. “Anything I can do to help especially with my hometown I’m going to always be there.”
While at the supermarket, the “Trap Queen” hitmaker also took time to pose with fans and chat with locals.
It isn’t the first time Fetty has given back to his hometown.
He has previously donated turkeys to families for Thanksgiving each year since 2015.
