Fetty Wap’s Debut Album Earns More Than One Billion Streams

THE NEW JERSEY RHYMER JOINS AN EXCLUSIVE LIST

(AllHipHop News) Fetty Wap is now part of an exclusive list that includes Drake, Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, and Ed Sheeran. The New Jersey rhymer’s debut self-titled album became the 7th LP to earn more than 1 billion streams in the United States.

Tracks from the 2015 project now have a total of 1.001 billion as of June 23. Fetty Wap was led by the Top 10 singles “Trap Queen,” “679,” and “My Way.”

The success of those songs also helped Fetty become the first male rapper since Eminem in 2013 to have three songs in the Top 20 at the same time.

In addition, the 300 Entertainment representative was the first rapper since Chingy in 2003-04 to have his first three songs enter the Top 10.

Fetty Wap recently released “Wake Up.” The record has peaked at #53 on the Hot 100 so far.

Drake’s Views (1.547 billion), Justin Bieber’s Purpose (1.451 billion), The Weeknd’s Beauty Behind the Madness (1.369 billion), Drake’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late (1.109 billion), Drake’s Nothing Was the Same (1.042 billion) and Ed Sheeran’s X (1.026 billion) are the only other albums to cross the billion streaming mark.
