(AllHipHop News) Back in March, DaBaby’s Baby On Baby debuted at #25 on the Billboard 200 before peaking at #7. Six months later, the North Carolina rhymer is set to earn his first #1 album.
HitsDailyDouble forecasts DaBaby’s new LP, Kirk, will pull in between 130,000 to 150,000 first-week units. That total should be enough to give the Interscope recording artist the #1 spot on next week’s Billboard 200.
However, there is one variable that could change the final chart rankings. Kanye West was expected to drop Jesus Is King over the weekend, but the project never arrived. If Ye’s “Gospel” collection hits DSPs before Friday, he could possibly collect enough units to add another Number One to his catalog.
Kirk is predicted to compile 160-180 million streams in its first week of release. Numerous tracks from the project dominated both the Spotify and Apple Music charts throughout the weekend. The music video for “Intro” amassed more than 13 million views on YouTube in 10 days.
DaBaby got a lot of star-studded backing on Kirk. Chance The Rapper, Nicki Minaj, Gucci Mane, Lil Baby, Kevin Gates, Migos, and other music acts contributed to the album.
