(AllHipHop News) Jay Z is planning to launch a new, expensive champagne aimed at the collectors market.
The rapper’s company Armand de Brignac, which produces the legendary Ace of Spades champagne, is preparing a more pricier line of bubbly this month called A2.
Armand de Brignac’s A2 collectors line will feature limited edition bottles that will come with its own numbered plate.
Only 2,333 bottles are being made in the first run, with a price tag of $850 according to Bloomberg.
Armand de Brignac’s CEO Sebastien Besson said the champagne itself tastes better than its predecessor, hence the higher price tag.
According to Besson, Jay Z maybe hands off and running the business, but he still a big consumer of the brand he owns.
“Jay is a very strong businessman, certainly one that likes to understand what consumers want and here to build the business for the long term,” Besson told Bloomberg. “He always has a few bottles on hand for a celebration, I know that for sure.”
