(AllHipHop News) The former attorney’s for Suge Knight have caught charges for their alleged role in the murder case.
Matthew Fletcher, Knight’s lawyer, located a man that would say that there were guns at Tam’s Burgers when Knight’s truck killed a man with a vehicle. Fletcher allegedly told the embattled Death Row mogul that he would need to pay the man $25,000 for his testimony. He allegedly said that the monies was a “fair investment to secure his freedom,” according to procecutors.
Marion “Suge” Knight allegedly sought to find individuals that would be able to help him beat the murder charge he faces after running a truck into two men during the filming of “Straight Outta Compton” in 2015. One of the men died from his injuries.
Another of Knight’s attorneys, Thaddeus Culpepper, was slapped with conspiracy to commit subornation of perjury, conspiracy to commit bribery, conspiracy to commit obstruction of justice and serving as accessories after the fact.
Neither man has formally entered a plea at the time of this writing.
The Los Angeles Times reports that these charges are a part of a 13-page indictment unsealed on Monday. Both men have stated that they have done no wrong in the case.
Both attorneys may serve nearly four years of they are conflicted on all charges.
The judge scheduled an arraignment for March 16.
Suge Knight’s murder trial is slated to begin next month.
