Future Explains Social Media Hiatus; Drops Self-Titled Album

THE ATLANTA-RAISED RAPPER SPEAKS WITH ZANE LOWE

(AllHipHop News) Social media can be both beneficial and distressing for celebrities.

Platforms like Twitter and Instagram allow artists to connect directly with fans which include both positive and negative feedback from the public.

Atlanta rapper Future took a break from social media, and he explained his decision in an interview with Beats 1’s Zane Lowe.

“It was probably the best thing I’d ever done cause I don’t have to respond to certain things that’s going on, even my life,” said the Freebandz leader.

He added, “So anything going on in that period of time probably just gets washed away. I’m just not giving it attention. I want to give the music attention and being in the studio. I want to give all my attention to my music, my kids, my family, so I just wanna focus on certain things besides social media. Social media can take up a lot of your life.

Future came back with more music this week with the release of his self-titled fifth studio album.

The project features production by Southside, Zaytoven, TM88, Sonny Digital, and others.
