Heavy hitters in the hip-hop industry are gathering
Sunday (June 23) to play golf, helping to raise money for the National Minority
Junior Golf Scholarship Association, which supports minority students through
college.
Luke
(Luke Records), Lyor Cohen (Chairman of the Island Def Jam Music Group)
and Kedar Massenberg (CEO of Motown) will be among the industry executives representing
hip-hop on the greens. Actor Malik Yoba and NBA star Herb Williams will also
be present.
For the past three years, the entertainment industry
and celebrities have come out to play golf to help out the scholarship fund.
Over 200 industry insiders and celebrities are expected to attend. The golfing
kicks off at 2:00 PM sharp at Bally Owen Golf Course, in Hamburg, New Jersey.
