(AllHipHop News) LeBron James had one of the most impressive single player performances in NBA Finals history. “The King” averaged 35.8 points, 13.3 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game. He became the first player to lead both teams in those stats for the entire series and nearly won the Finals MVP award.
Despite all of those individual accomplishments, LeBron’s Cleveland Cavaliers came up short against Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors 105-97 in game 6. As a result, the Dubs are taking the NBA title back to Oakland.
ESPN commentator Skip Bayless may be giving LBJ a pass for not winning another championship because fellow Cavs All-Stars Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love were injured, but the Internet showed no mercy for LeBron. Instagram users posted countless memes bashing James for claiming he was “the best player in the world” following his game 5 loss and his career Finals record falling to 2-4.
