(AllHipHop News) J. Cole has mostly laid low since dropping his fourth studio album 4 Your Eyez Only in December.
The Dreamville leader did return with a loose track on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Cole’s “High for Hours” became the most shared and/or mentioned song on Twitter the week of its release.
The politically charged record was such a hit on the social media site that it debuted at #1 on the Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks chart.
This was the second major singles chart accomplishment for the North Carolinian since December.
“Deja Vu” off 4 Your Eyez Only debuted at #7 on the Hot 100 chart, giving Cole the first Top 10 record of his career.
In addition, Eyez opened at #1 on the Billboard 200 album chart.
