(AllHipHop News) Jay-Z making plans to launch a new jewelry business, according to court documents.
The 48-year-old hip-hop mogul is trademarking the word Hovino,
which he plans to use to sell a variety of luxury goods
Jay is looking to lock down the rights to use Hovino for jewelry, watches tie pins and more.
In addition to the Hovino brand, Jay is snagging the rights to The brand name “Aka Shawn Carter,” which could be a new brand of clothing as well as a retail store.
Jay’s re-entry into the retail fashion business would make sense, since he sold his remaining stake in Rocawear to the Iconix Brand Group for $204 million dollars, in 2007.
