In addition to teaming with Def Jam for the Sprite/Def
Jam University, the soft drink announced today the creation of a new music festival,
Sprite Liquid Mix The festival is billed as "an expression of the urban
experience featuring a fusion of music, street sports, artistic demonstrations,
fashion and entertainment
The Sprite Liquid Mix will feature established
acts as well as rising stars Jay-Z, 311,
Nappy Roots, Talib Kweli NERD and others will headline the tour, which begins
in mid-August and runs through early September "This is a dream lineup
of talent that truly blends the best of established and up-and-coming hip-hop
and rock,” said CAA’s Head of Music and Management

The festival runs about six hours and in addition
to the music concerts, people who attend can participate in full court basketball
games, a video gaming area, a giant canvas which will feature local Graff artists,
BMX freestyling biking and more"The Sprite Liquid Mix tour brings together
artists and people who appreciate authentic expression free from boundaries,"
said Darryl Cobbin, vice president and brand director for Sprite
