Jay-Z will open a new sports bar, 40/40 in New York
City on May 28.
The mogul’s sports bar pays homage to baseball’s
rare 40/40 club, the few who have had 40 stolen bases and 40 home runs in one
season.
The only people that belong to the club so far
are Jose Canseco, Alex Rodriguez and Barry Bonds.
The club, which is located at 6. W. 25th St.,
will feature big screen TV’s, video games and a cigar room.
Jay-Z said that when he was thinking of a name
for his new club, he "wanted something exclusive – the 40/40 Club in
baseball is as exclusive as it gets."
Beyonce and Michael Jordan, among others, are
expected to attend the club’s grand opening.
