Juice WRLD's Family Releases A Statement Following His Death

(AllHipHop News) Jarad “Juice WRLD” Higgins, 21, passed away in Illinois on December 8. Despite multiple reports of a potential drug overdose, the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office has been unable to establish an official cause of death after an autopsy.

Many Hip Hop artists have expressed their condolences for Juice WRLD’s death over the last several days. The Goodbye & Good Riddance album creator’s family has now released a statement to TMZ.

“We loved Jarad with all of our hearts and cannot believe our time with him has been cut short. As he often addressed in his music and to his fans, Jarad battled with prescription drug dependency,” stated Higgins’ family.

They added, “Addiction knows no boundaries and its impact goes way beyond the person fighting it. Jarad was a son, brother, grandson, friend and so much more to so many people who wanted more than anything to see him defeat addiction.”

Juice WRLD’s relatives also expressed hope that the conversations the rapper started in his music will help other people win their battles with addiction. They concluded, “We know that Jarad’s legacy of love, joy and emotional honesty will live on.”
