Jury selection started today in a case against Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, relating to a 1999 nightclub shooting.Combs’ former chauffeur, Wardel Fenderson, alleges that Combs and his former bodyguard Anthony “Wolf” Jones, forced him to speed away from the scene of the shooting, which took place at Club New York, in Manhattan.Fenderson seeks $3 million from Combs and is also suing Bad Boy Entertainment as well as Jones, who was gunned down in Atlanta, Georgia in November.Combs and ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez, who were present when the shooting occurred, were both subpoenaed to testify.Combs and Jones were acquitted of gun possession and bribery charges in March of 2001. Jamal “Shyne” Barrow was convicted of assault and reckless endangerment charges and sentenced to eight years.Combs’ spokesperson said the lawsuit was another attempt to cash in on his fortune and celebrity.
