(AllHipHop News) Kanye West’s relationship with Jay-Z has been strained over money issues, according to reports.
According to TMZ.com, Kanye has split from Jay’s Tidal streaming music service, because of a dispute over royalties.
Kanye is attempting to chase down over $3 million in back earnings from Tidal, and took a hard stance over the matter, when he severed his contract with the company earlier this week.
In addition to royalties, Kanye was supposed to get a bonus since his The Life of Pablo album helped Tidal snag over 1 million subscribers.
Lawyers for Tidal aren
not backing down so easy either.
They are threatening to sue Kanye if he tries to sign another streaming music company.
