Just before the new year began, Kanye West surprised us all and dropped a new song.
For his new track entitled “Only One,” he went back to his harmonizing ways and called on Beatles’ own Paul McCartney to play the keyboard on a tribute to his one-year-old daughter North West. Yeezy is singing as if his late mother, Donda West, is talking to him, reassuring him that she is watching over him and encouraging to be proud of the man he is.
“I talked to God about you/He said he sent you an angel/Look at all that he gave you/You asked for one and you got two/You know I never left you/Cause every road that leads to heaven is right beside you,” he sang.
