(AllHipHop News) Kevin Durant is an NBA MVP, 2-time NBA champion, 2-time NBA Finals MVP, 10-time NBA All-Star, and 2-time NBA All-Star Game MVP. Off the court, KD is also known to spend time in the booth recording raps.
As a rhymer in his own right, some people may wonder which emcees are at the top of Durant’s personal Top 5 list. Hot 97’s Ebro In The Morning crew asked the new Brooklyn Nets player to share his current favorite rap stars.
“You gotta go with the three that everybody’s gonna say: Cole, Kendrick, Drake. And I like Thugger,” replied KD. “It’s too many rappers for me to just do a Top 5. You put me on the spot. I got too many friends in the rap game… and Gunna.”
As one of the premier athletes to sign with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports, EITM co-host Peter Rosenberg questioned KD about how he views Hov. The 31-year-old DMV native said, “He’s like the only one on this Mount Rushmore.”
Kevin Durant went on to say he could change his mind about his Top 5 on any given day. Plus, he also chose Take Care and If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late as his favorite Drake albums.
UPDATE: A source connected to Roc Nation confirms with AllHipHop that Kevin Durant is no longer part of the Roc Nation Sports roster.
