Bankhead Seaford, Greenwood, and the Historic Hills Community Development Corporation (HHCDC) are joining forces for a Thanksgiving-themed giveaway on November 23. Anyone who signs up for a Greenwood bank account will receive a free meal from the Bankhead Seafood truck.
“Bankhead Seafood is a part of the community. This event is about serving the community and offering an asset that will empower the community as well. No one who comes on Monday will be turned away,” says Render. Glover adds, “Bankhead Seafood isn’t just providing a meal but reminding us that the holidays are a time to come together as a community.”
All three sponsors are donating over 100 turkeys to Atlanta-area families. In addition, HHCDC will hand out $50 gift cards to a select number of households. Bankhead Seafood will provide matching gifts. The Thanksgiving Day Giveaway will take place at Frederick Douglass High School in Northwest Atlanta on November 23 from 1 pm to 3 pm ET.
