Memphis rapper Kingpin Skinny Pimp has been nominated
for the Premier Rapper Award at the 18th Annual Premier Player Awards. The awards
are hosted by the Memphis Chapter of the Recording Academy.
"I been doing this for a long time and I
am just glad that my records haven’t gone unnoticed. I know Memphis loves me,
I just hope the rest of the country takes notice," Skinny Pimp said.
Kingpin Skinny pimp has dropped eight independent
albums and has moved over 300,000 units over the course of his career.

Nomination is true indication of the tremendous respect he has as an artist
within the Memphis music community," stated Jon Hornyak, Executive Director
of the Memphis Chapter of the Recording Academy.
The 18th Annual Premier Player Awards will be
held on April 3 at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Memphis.
