Krs-One and his Temple
of Hiphop have revealed details surrounding this year’s upcoming 8th Annual
Hiphop Appreciation Week.
Each year KRS and the Temple celebrate the many aspects of Hip-Hop
culture during the third week of May.
According to representatives for the Temple of Hiphop, the week
has been officially recognized by mayors and city officials in give U.S. cities
– New York, New York, Los Angeles, California, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,
Atlanta, Georgia and Portand, Oregon.
“The importance is dialogue first but ultimately implementing
plans of actions for our communities with Hiphop as a tool to motivate all generations,”
stated Allan C. Williams, who is spearheading the week in Portland, Oregon.
