Rapper Kurupt has
signed on to showcase his acting skills in a new movie “Click,” set
at the end of the Civil War.
Kurupt will star
opposite of veteran actor David Carradine, who was recently nominated for a
Golden Globe Award for his role in Quentin Tarantino’s “Kill Bill
– Vol. 2.”
The movie centers
around a group of outcasts near the end of the United States’ Civil War,
which lasted from 1861 to 1865.
Wyclef Jean is
in the flick as well, making his feature film debut.
The men set out
to rob a local bank, encountering obstacles in the form of a female sheriff,
a cattle baron and a bounty hunter.
The movie is currently
being filmed on various western-themed locations in Los Angeles.
According to reports,
the movie, despite being set against a backdrop that is over 100-years-old,
will feature a Hip-Hop heavy soundtrack.
The movie also
stars Antwon Tanner, Clifton Powell, Vincent Laresca, Glenn Plummer, Kenya Moore
and Idalis DeLeon.
