Lil’ Kim’s legal fate was supposed to be determined tomorrow, but the pint-sized rapper’s sentencing date for perjury has been postponed.
Facing a potentially lengthy jail term, the Brooklyn native will be sentenced at a later, presently undisclosed time.
The rapper was convicted in March of 2005 on three counts of perjury and one count of conspiracy.
Her assistant and co-defendant, Monique Dopwell, was also found guilty of perjury, obstruction and conspiracy.
The charges stem from the now infamous 2001 shooting in front of Hot 97, the result of a dispute involving members of Capone-N-Noreaga’s entourage and men with Lil’ Kim.
In the interim between the verdict and sentencing, the 30-year-old rapper has been working on her latest album and maintaining a positive frame of mind.
Insiders speculate that this may be Lil’ Kim’s finest work to day.
She recently appeared at Sony Studios as Kanye West was previewing his new album and openly took pictures with fans.
