Bad Boy Records artist
Loon has been cleared of felony assault charges after a Beverly Hills Superior
Court judge dismissed the case stating there was a lack of evidence to go to trial.
Loon and two associates,
William Reyes and Teon Tanqueray were charged with felony assault after a bouncer
was stabbed at a House of Blues party.
Reports stated
that neither the bouncer who was assaulted nor the eyewitness to the stabbing
could determine which of the three men committed the stabbing.
"I just want
to thank God first and foremost," Loon told the Associated Press. "My
prayers were answered, I’m very grateful. The trial was very exhausting and
I’m looking forward to getting back to work."
Initially, the
incident occurred in February at the House of Blues in Los Angeles, California,
during a release party for Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz’s new adult DVD series.
At the time, authorites
said that a group of men attempted to forcefully enter the club and in the ensuing
fracas, the security guard was stabbed in the upper torso.
