(AllHipHop News) Steve Rifkind’s legendary Hip Hop label Loud Records is observing 25 years of existence. A star-studded “Loud Twenty-Five” event is booked for October 11 at Newark’s Prudential Center.
“This celebration means the world to me. Loud was born out of a love for Hip Hop and a childhood fantasy. To see it grow into one of the most iconic and storied Hip Hop labels in history and having the opportunity to celebrate with our amazing artists 25 years later leaves me speechless about our journey,” states Rifkind.
Loud affiliated acts like Wu-Tang Clan, Three 6 Mafia, Project Pat, Xzibit,Tha Alkaholiks, dead prez, and M.O.P. are set to perform. The concert will also feature a tribute for Mobb Deep’s Prodigy as well as a Big Pun remembrance with Fat Joe and Remy Ma.
“I had to take Pun to Loud. Loud was the best record label on earth,” says Fat Joe about his late rap apprentice. Classic albums such as Big Pun’s Capital Punishment, Wu-Tang Clan’s Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), and Mobb Deep’s The Infamous came out via the New York City-based record company founded by Steve Rifkind and Rich Isaacson.
