(AllHipHop News) Rapper Luther Campbell will lend his celebrity star power to a pharmaceutical company in South Florida.
Luke was selected as executive spokesman for Progressive Care Inc., which is a leading provider of prescription pharmaceuticals, which specializes in anti-viral patient management.
The company also focuses on long-term care and medical equipment.
Luke, who is known for his raunchy raps, as well as his battle with the Supreme Court over the contents of his music, was selected for his connection to the South Florida community, in addition to his activism for HIV care and services in the region.
“As the company’s executive spokesman we will ask him to aggressively lead an expansion initiative to promote superior HIV care and services, beginning with local residents in South Florida and later expanding into a national campaign to support long term living and health with HIV/AIDS,” a rep for Progressive Care said in a statement.
Progressive Care is opening two treatment centers, one in Opa Locka and another in Miami, across from
North Shore Hospital.
The centers will provide HIV specialty services to residents in the regions.
