(AllHipHop News) Madonna lost a lawsuit seeking to regain ownership of a break-up letter rapper Tupac Shakur wrote to her.

The case started in July of 2017, when a woman who used to work for Madonna named Darlene Lutz put the letter up for auction with a starting bid of $100,000.

Madonna filed a lawsuit seeking to block the sale of the letter against her former art consultant, but she has lost the case according to reports.

A judge recently threw the case out of court, since Madonna had actually signed a release granting Lutz control of the letter and other memorabilia when the pair ended their relationship in 2004.

Now, the letter in which Pac poured out his heart to the singer, is free and clear to be auctioned off.

Here is a portion of Tupac’s breakup letter to Madonna:

“For you to be seen with a black man wouldn’t in any way jeopardize your career, if anything it would make you seem that much more open and exciting. But for me at least in my previous perception, I felt due to my ‘image’ I would be letting down half of the people who made me what I thought I was.”
