(AllHipHop News) The fabled, controversial Once Upon a Time in Shaolin album by Wu-Tang Clan will land each of the group members in court, and it has nothing to do with Martin Shkreli.
Martin Shkreli is spending the next eight years in prison years for securities fraud, but before his jail sentence, he went on a spending spree and bought the one of a kind Wu-Tang Clan album in 2015 for $2 million.
According to reports, the group is being sued for using the unauthorized work of a photographer named Warren Patterson.
Patterson says he spent 80 hours taking hundreds of pictures of a silver case emblazoned with Wu’s logo on it for the Once Upon a Time in Shaolin artwork.
The problem is, Patterson says he never signed a contract and was not compensated for taking the pictures, one of which was used as the cover for Once Upon a Time in Shaolin.
Warren Patterson is suing each member of The Wu-Tang Clan and he is seeking over $1 million in damages.
