(AllHipHop News) Comedian Marlon Wayans won a historic victory in court this week, in a three-year old lawsuit which accused the funny man of racism and offensive language.
An African-American actor named Pierre Daniel took Marlon Wayans to court for racially harassing him on the set of “Haunted House 2.”
Daniels took exception to a post on Wayans’ Twitter account that made fun of him by comparing him to Cleveland Brown of the animated series “Family Guy.”
The court ruled that Wayans met his burden of showing that Daniels claims arose from a “protected activity because all of the alleged misconduct is based squarely on Wayans’ exercise of free speech,” the court ruled.
In addition to winning the lawsuit, Pierre Daniels must pay a judgment to Wayans, in addition to forking over cash for the comedian’s attorney fees and expenses.
