(AllHipHop News) Mary J. Blige is up for two trophies at the 90th annual Academy Awards taking place on March 4. The legendary vocalist will also perform at the ceremony.
The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul will sing the Mudbound record “Mighty River.” Blige earned a Best Original Song nomination for the ballad, and she is competing in the Best Supporting Actress category for her role in the Netflix movie.
Oscar-winner Common will team with Andra Day to perform the nominated song “Stand Up For Something” from Marshall. Miguel will be on the ABC broadcast with Natalia LaFourcade and Gael Garcia Bernal to present a live rendition of “Remember Me” from Coco.
In addition, Keala Settle will perform “This is Me” from The Greatest Showman and Sufjan Stevens will perform “Mystery of Love” from Call Me by Your Name. Oscar show producers Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd stated, “We’re excited to have these talented artists showcase the powerful contribution music makes to filmmaking.”
