Antwan Kevin Baker, 32, pleaded guilty yesterday
(March 7) to stalking No Limit mogul Master P.
Baker was sentenced to one year in the county
jail and ordered to stay away from Master P for the next ten years.
Baker was also sentenced to three years probation.
While Baker didn’t state why he stalked him, Master P. said that it was the
result of his refusal to give the man a record deal.
According to prosecutors, Baker began stalking
Master P in 1999. He confronted the mogul at Chicago’s O’Hare International
Airport and tried to convince Master P to sign him to a recording contract and
to finance a movie.
The visits continued until Baker was arrested
in April at Master P’s attorney’s office.
Master P said that when Baker arrived at his
attorney’s office, he was speaking incoherently and said that he was changing
his name to Kevin, the name of Master P’s older, deceased brother.
Baker also allegedly showed up at a number of
concerts, tried to get on the rapper’s bus and attempted to access numerous
restricted areas.
