Flint, Michigan rapper MC Breed has inked a deal
with Urban Muzic Zone Records and is preparing a new untitled album.
MC Breed has released almost an album a year
since his 1991 debut Aint No Future in Yo Frontin and the new album will
be his first since 2001’s 2 for the Show.
"UMZ in 2004 intends to be what Motown Records
was in the 1960s – the home of the best that urban music has to give,"
Urban Muzik Zone Vice-President Rudy Hill said. "We refuse to be pigeon-holed.
We have developed a great marketing and promotional team, and with the current
state of the industry, well, the sky’s the limit."
The new album will feature a previously unreleased
track between Breed and Tupac Shakur.
Breed’s latest untitled album will be distributed
by Red/Sony in the United States and Canada and is slated for a September release.
