(AllHipHop News) Meek Mill made a triumphant return to his hometown of Philadelphia tonight (April 24).

Just an hour after the rapper was released from a Chester, Pennsylvania prison, he was the guest of honor at the Philadelphia 76ers’ playoff game against the Miami Heat.

Meek arrived at The Wells Fargo Center via a private helicopter with billionaire Michael Rubin, the co-owner of the Sixers.

The rapper was the center of attention as he rang the opening bell for Game 5, sporting a Joel Embiid jersey, flanked by comedian Kevin Hart.

Thousands of his fans were on hand to greet the rap star, who was released from prison earlier today, after a five-month stay in prison for allegedly violating his probation in his 2008 drug and gun case. Now that he is free on unsecured bail, Meek and his lawyers are planning on getting his entire conviction tossed.
