(AllHipHop News) Meek Mill’s mother, Reverend Al Sharpton, and the rapper’s lawyer will participate in a series of panels in Philadelphia next week to discuss the criminal justice system in the United States.

Justice League and student-run organizations at The University of Pennsylvania are hosting REFORM: Bringing Injustice to Light next week.

Activists like Mysonne Linen, Justice League founding member Angelo Pinto, UPenn professor Marie Gottschall, civil rights attorney David Rudofsky and others, including Meek’s mom Kathy Williams and his attorney Joe Tacopina will talk about Meek’s case and how it fits into larger issues within the U.S.

The rapper has been on probation since 2008 when Judge Genece Brinkley convicted him on drug possession, firearms violation, and assault.

Her decision was partially based on the testimony of officer Reginald Graham, who is one of several under investigation for several alleged acts of corruption.

Despite these findings, Mill continues to serve a two-to-four-year prison sentence for technical probation violations – both non-criminal and non-violent offenses.

REFORM: Bringing Injustice to Light will take place March 13 and 14th and will be live-streamed on Tidal.
