MTV,
who had originally banned D-12‘s
video "Purple Hills," has agreed to start airing
the video. After negotiations with Eminem’s Shady Records,
MTV will air the video, but only during the overnight hours.
The network will begin showing the video next week. The
video has already been aired on BET, which is also owned
by Viacom, raising the question of why one and not the other?
"Purple
Hills" is the name of the cleaned up radio/video version
of the song, "Purple Pills," which appeard on
the Devil’s Night album.
