(AllHipHop News) Television viewers will get to see iconic Hip Hop figure Nasir Jones in three separate programs in the coming weeks. Mass Appeal is set to release Nas Live From the Kennedy Center: Classical Hip-Hop, Word Is Bond, and Rapture.

Nas teamed with the National Symphony Orchestra to perform a symphonic rendition of the emcee’s debut album Illmatic. A Jason Goldwatch-directed concert movie covering the event was filmed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC and will premiere February 2 on PBS.

Fourteen days later, Sacha Jenkins’ Word Is Bond documentary will air on Showtime. Nas, J. Cole, Tech N9ne, Rapsody, and Anderson .Paak appear in the visual examination of lyrics in Hip Hop.

Netflix will begin streaming Rapture, another Jenkins production, at the end of March. The 8-part docu-series follows the lives of Nas, Rapsody, Dave East, T.I., Logic, G-Eazy, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, 2 Chainz, and Just Blaze.

“Way back, when Hip Hop culture was in its gestational phase, the powerful message therein didn’t go much further than the five boroughs of New York City,” said Jenkins. “Today, rap music is the heartbeat of Mother Earth, and Netflix is the embodiment of the eyes from which she sees.”

He continues, “It is a great honor for Mass Appeal to work with Netflix to produce our new series Rapture. We’ve been telling Hip Hop stories since ’96, and as natives we feel it is our duty to do the movement justice. Rapture is bangin’. Straight up.”

Nas Live From the Kennedy Center airs Friday, March 2 at 9 pm ET on PBS. It will be available to stream the following day at pbs.org and on PBS apps. Word is Bond airs Friday, March 16 at 10 pm ET on Showtime. Rapture debuts Friday, March 30 on Netflix.
